Participation in the "No single-use of Umbrellas by 2030" Project

MIRARTH HOLDINGS Group is participating in the "No single-use of Umbrellas by 2030" and is cooperating with the umbrella sharing service "i-kasa" as part of this project.

"Making rainy days comfortable and happy" and "No single-use of Umbrellas" are the missions of i-kasa, Japan's first full-scale umbrella sharing service, launched in December 2018. Instead of buying a plastic umbrella every time you come across sudden rain, by using the dedicated application, you can borrow i-kawa, a durable umbrella, at a train station or in town, and return it to the nearest return location when it stops raining. In addition to the Tokyo metropolitan Kansai area, the company operates in Aichi, Okayama, Fukuoka, Saga, Sapporo, etc., with more than 1,600 spots, mainly along railroad lines, and approximately 550,000 people have registered for the application as of  April 2025.

Our group has been supporting this project since 2023, aiming to achieve no single-use of umbrellas and umbrellas to be used and hrown away by actively promoting the use of "i-kasa".

Fund-raising Event

In December 2023, Takara Leben's local subsidiary in Thailand carried out a fundraising campaign over a 15-day period, alongside hosting a charity event that involved collecting used clothing, unwanted books, and other items. Items collected in-house were purchased by a recycling company, and the proceeds were donated to the Mirror Foundation*,an NGO working to address social issues in Thailand.
This time, the campaign brought in 2,977 baht (approximately 12,500 yen), and three large boxes of donated items were collected. The funds will go toward supporting educational costs, while the donated goods will be distributed to children from stateless ethnic minority groups in northern Thailand who currently lack access to support services.

On July 28, 2024, Takara Leben and Leben Community Vietnam also carried out another charity initiative, donating books, textbooks, and stationery to students in remote areas of northern and southern Vietnam through the local charity group Fly to Sky. In addition to our Company, residents of the properties it supplied and local partner companies were also invited to take part, and a total of four cardboard boxes' worth of items were donated.

The organization works in collaboration with the Thai government and other NGOs to help these communities address issues such as poverty, human trafficking, drug abuse, civil rights, education, and discrimination, by empowering them to find their own solutions.

Sponsorship of the Children's World Peace Summit®

MIRARTH HOLDINGS is supporting the 5th Children's World Peace Summit®, organized by the Peace Peace Project, as a Silver Sponsor.

The summit serves as a platform where children not only learn about their own country's history, including war and nuclear weapons, but also explore how peace can be built, ultimately presenting their own ideas for "ideas for creating world peace." Teenagers representing various countries deliver speeches in venues such as the International Conference Hall of the House of Representatives, where global leaders also convene. By thinking and learning proactively about peace with peers from different national backgrounds during this formative stage of their development, participants are encouraged to take an interest in international cooperation and to develop the capacity to contribute to the global community in the future. To date, over 815 ideas for world peace have been submitted from more than 31 countries.

For the 5th summit, ideas were invited from teenagers in 14 countries, including Japan, the United States, El Salvador, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China, France, Brazil, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos, and Lithuania. After a selection process, 11 children from 7 countries were chosen as delegates. On the day of the summit, eleven children selected from Japan, the United States, El Salvador, Sri Lanka, China, France, and Myanmar delivered speeches at the International Conference Hall of the House of Representatives.

"Yajirushi" Emergency Shelter Signs Win Kids Design Award

Leben Home Build, a developer engaged in community building through the sale of newly built detached houses, has been designing and installing its original emergency shelter guidance signs, "Yajirushi" (meaning arrow).  The signs were created with the belief that neighborhoods with few landmarks need easy-to-understand directional signs to shelters, especially for small children. To support disaster preparedness education for children across the community, the signs are installed in visible locations, such as garbage collection points along main roads within the Company's residential developments. Designed with minimal information and simplified expression to be easily understood by children, yet incorporating a high level of creativity, "Yajirushi" received the Encouragement Award in the 2019 Kids Design Award. As of the end of March 2025, the signs have been installed in 25 properties.
